e feel the tidal pulse of the moon in our blood, and when the moon rises, we are called to our true forms. One with nature, we accept we are beasts with power and awe that ripples through our flesh. We smell the scent of your fear, your weakness. It is time for us to hunt.

Werewolves are shape changers capable of being in human, were-form or wolf form. In any form the Werewolf possesses heightened senses and supernatural strength.

Most mature Werewolves have overcome their bondage to the cycles of the moon. They are able to transform at will and control themselves in their non-human forms. Like the other races, Werewolves are immortal. Once a human’s blood is tainted they, too, take on the Werewolf form at the first new moon.
 
Werewolves organize themselves in packs. The most powerful alpha Werewolves battle for control of the pack every five years or so. Pack life both secures protection for a Werewolf but also comes with responsibilities to the pack. Lone wolves forgo security for the freedom of the wild. Some lone wolves are tolerated while other are hunted. Even the strongest lone wolves usually have friends in the pack to lean on occasionally.
 
Many Werewolves suffering their first transformations surrender to the animal and the hunt,  killing anything in their paths. More dangerous still are groups of Werewolves who, having at one time gained control, gradually forget their human side.  They descend so far into the beast that they stay permanently changed, never returning to human form.  They are outcasts, and often hunted by other Werewolf packs who wish to remain safely unnoticed.
